The spirit of volunteerism is at the very foundation of VACA's philosophy of community service. In fact, VACA's initial programming was conducted by one part-time staff member and a handful of volunteers. Since then, we have expanded in size but continue to make volunteers an essential element of our activities. We encourage volunteer participation among youth and adults alike. Currently, we have three adult volunteers and seventeen youth volunteers working on our ESOL and Youth Development Programs.
